Last week Lydia’s Uniforms set up a booth at a local nursing conference here in Grand Rapids, MI. Rachel and I snuck out of the office to check it out and the conference seemed to be a huge success (and the Lydia’s booth looked great!). Kristen, a Lydia’s employee who attended the conference, shares her experience:

Lydia’s Uniforms was proud to support and be a part of the Celebrate Nurses Conference on March 4, 2009, held at Grand Rapids Community College.  It was a great day for West Michigan nurses to get together, attend free CEU courses and enjoy a day of pampering provided by local businesses. It was a fun atmosphere as I watched everyone walk around to get free manicures, massages and mini-makeovers while listening to see if their name would be called for the many door prizes throughout the day.  Lydia’s gave away two gift certificates and it was a thrill to have both of the winners come back to tell us how excited they were to go shopping!  Rebecca and I were there to hand out Lydia’s new spring catalogs and show off the latest stylish medical scrubs by Cherokee, Koi, Urbane and many others. The big hit this year was the Ultimate Nursing Bag, by Nursemates in a bright and colorful Beach Stripe.  I got to talk to nurses and get some great feedback about their favorite scrubs and shoes and help them find some new styles to brighten up their medical uniforms for spring. -Kristen

Kristen and Rebecca dutifully stayed behind the booth all day, while Rachel and I helped ourselves to the complimentary donuts and played with the idea of getting massages. We didn’t tell anyone that we weren’t actually nurses. Sshhh…
