I am one who loves having a choice, even among my favorites. I have two favorite pairs of work shoes. One of them is a pair of Crocs specialist. Then I started working in a place where they frowned on these comfy rubber type shoes and had to look for a more conventional pair. I thought I wouldn't be able to find a pair of good old fashioned white nursing shoes. I was so set to dislike it that I figured that even if I ordered it out of a catalog, it wouldn't make too much of a difference. So I ordered my nurse mates Seneca even if some have told me how it never fit them right. My shoes came and it had at first cut with the "tongue" into the top of my foot where it met up with my leg. this lasted a total of two days. After this it was like it was made to order. I love it because no other pair has ever kept my feet as dry, it's easy to wipe clean. I've been very lucky to have two good pairs as it is advisable to alternate shoes.

I've had problems with my lower back hurting for years. I had back surgery 19 years ago. I have a pair of Natural Uniforms clogs that are like walking on marshmallows and they are the only shoes I have found where my back doesn't hurt at the end of a 12 hour shift.

I'm what you could call a shoe fanatic! After a year behind a desk in an office job, I decided to go back into the field of patient care. To do that, I of course needed the perfect pair of shoes to go with my new scrubs. I found all of these in Lydia's uniform catalog. When I saw these Cherokee "sweetpea" shoes, it was love at first sight! Not only are they adorable, but they're super light and comfy. You know you've scored big when your shoes not only make you feel like a princess but look like one too. I'd take these over a pair of Nike's any day! :)

I love my Merrell Encore Moc Pros. They are so comfortable to stand in for long periods of time. I have tried tons of other shoes and I am hard to please. I even have a brown pair of Merrells in a different style. I have Rhuematoid arthritis, so comfort is my number one priority. Thanks Merrells!

Dansko professional clogs. I haven't worn anything else for work for the past fifteen years. I love Dansko professional clogs so much I wear them for everyday at home too. Dansko's are the only shoe I can wear for longer than six months without getting worn out. I recommend them to all RNs, waitresses and now even my hairdresser wears them! Love my Danskos.

My favorite medical shoes are the"old school" Clinic nursing shoes. I occassionally wear a white dress uniform, white hose and my trusty Clinics. Not only are they comfortable and support my arches, but they bring back a distinctive look of professionalism. Clinics never go out of style.

New Balance shoes is the way to go!

I love the low-rise pants, finally something that compares to my jeans!!!! Love them so comfy!

Dansko, Dansko, Dansko..That is all I will ever wear. I suffered with not only feet and back pain, but my whole body ached. I started wearing Dansko 3 years ago and will never wear any other shoe. My feet are small so finding the right fit is difficult. Support and comfort is #1 to me. Comfortable tootsies are happy tootsies. If my tootsies don't hurt I am a happy nurse. Expensive shoes but I am worth it.

I have been an office nure for 13 years and decided to go back into the hospital setting. I have had 2 back surgeries and was worried about what shoes would be best for me while working a 12 hour shift. The best pair I have found are Natural Uniforms clogs. For once my lower back doesn't hurt while working-I totally love these clogs.

I am a fan of Cherokee Scrubs. Over the years, these classics have become my favorite. Not only do they wear well on those 12-hour night shift stretches, but they are fashion-forward and easy on my budget! Their newest designs are gorgeous and flattering to many figure types as well.

I heard about your site from a woman I met on the bus, I told her soon as I get home I'll look it up, and I did. I am so happy to see a place that has cute scrubs for me I am 5'9 and around 190 pounds, so sometimes its a burden going into local stores to get good, cute uniforms. It is my mission to let all of my co-workers know where they can get affordable, cute uniforms at.
Sunday, March 29, 2009 by Karen:
Merrells are my absolute favorites. I have tried many kinds of shoes, but Merrells are the only ones that I can wear for my 11 hour shift and not have my legs, feet and ankles hurt. I have a couple different types, and they all feel good.

I enjoy the fit and comfort of NurseMate shoes. They are not as expensive as some other shoes but they give long lasting wear and still look nice. I like the heart logo on the side of the shoe also. My younger clients have commented that they like to see a heart on my shoes.

I am a total shoe girl but I have had more knee injuries than I can tell you. On a good day they are swollen & purple. My abolute favorite shoes are my black patent danskos, I get the support I have to have, & I call them my high heel girl shoes at work.

I am a junior size, and i LOVE the fact that Lydia's Uniforms has a large selection of uniforms that fit me! The colors are great and the fit is just AMAZING! Thanks Lydia's!

I start my dental assisting internship in June. So medical shoes are still new to me. I need something that will be stylish, comfortable, and supporting.
Sunday, March 29, 2009 by Diane RN:
I like wearing Dansko clogs. I like the comfort and the variety of selections there is to chose from. Initially it takes a few days to break them in but once that happens the clogs are very comfortable. The company makes quality shoes that are durable and last forever. The clogs are also skid proof which is important working on a busy unit for 12 hours. Go Dansko!!!!
Sunday, March 29, 2009 by Susan DeWitt:
My two favorite nursing shoes for comfort are the Propet washable shoes and Merrell. The built in arch support is terrific in each. The Propet is washable and super easy to care for. Both came in wide widths which is necessary for me, but the Merrell white is no longer available in wide width lately (darn!!) The Propet DOES really last 6 months or a 1000 miles or more and feels soft and cushy for 12-13 hours duty on my feet.

I have BIG feet along with neuropathy...So, I have to be choosy!! I love my Nures Mades and a pair of Mary Jane Cherekees. Love the larger size uniforms as well as the larger shoe sizes!

My favorite pair of medical shoes are the PG Lites. They're awesome! Normally I would just wear my regular tennis shoes to work, but my legs and feet started hurting, so I found PG Lite medical shoes and now I can go all day with out pain. Plus, they have this cute little butterfly symbol on them and they come in any color of the and design you could imagine.
Sunday, March 29, 2009 by Anne Milewski:
Dansko is the best shoe handsdown. They support my feet and never leave my feet aching at the end of the day. They are sturdy, functional and attractive as well! I can go from working all day to going out casually for a bite with friends. They may be slightly more expensive than some shoes, but well worth the investment as they last a long time. They don't scuff, the finish doesn't wear off and even after wearing them day after day, month after month, they still look and feel like new! Thanks, Dansko and Lydia's for providing the best in shoes and uniforms!

I go by a firm motto of "comfort first" when it comes to working on my feet. Since I began wearing Dansko's Professional clogs, my feet are in heaven. They may look like they're uncomfortable with the back flopping, but it's the only thing I swear by working long hours in the hospital. The arch support is beyond belief, and since I've been wearing them, I have convinced several of my co-workers to do the same! It seems that everyone I get in contact wearing these clogs can't say enough good things about them. Thanks Dansko, from a group of hardworking nurses in Louisiana!

I have worked in dental offices for almost 30 years now. I have tried wearing many different brands of shoes, but I always seem to end up back at Nursemates.

My favorite medical shoes have to be my Dickie's clogs. They were very reasonably priced and they are super comfortable and come in a great variety of color, right now I am wearing the navy blue ones and I get compliments all the time, they are GREAT!

I'm still looking for a great pair of shoes! Having been a nurse for 12 years, I have tried out a lot of styles and brands. Ones that I find most comfortable don't usually last more than 6 months to a year, as I wash them frequently. I am looking for a new pair of shoes in Navy blue-our hospital is going to mandatory uniforms for the nursing staff. A close friend of mine is recommending Dansko. She has a painful bunion and tells me that they are the only comfortable pair she can wear for 12 hours. The sizing isn't the same as American shoes, so I know I will have to try them on for size first, but I am looking forward to finding a quality pair of shoes that last. A $50 gift certificate would be great!

I waited for years to buy a pair of Dansco shoes. I had worked in homecare and didn't need to wear a uniform so I didn't need nursing shoes. I relocated from Pennsylvania to Tennessee, got a position in the hospital, and bought the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I love them so much I have a pair of brownish/red and white, so I can wear them everyday if I want to!

My favorite pair of shoes are not sold in nursing catalogs. I love my Nike Shox and Adidas Megabounce shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes. i prefer running shoes for work.

I have been working on my 51 year old flat feet since I was 13 years old. I have tried every shoe brand known to man. After my knee replacement in May 2007 I had to have ortho inserts made for my shoes. I alse wear an off loading brace on my right leg until that knee is replaced. Twelve hour day shifts on PCU is hard work! So I was surprised to find that Crocs work better for me than my Birkinstocks, Danskos, Nike Air, NB, Merrell's, Nurse Mates, SAS, Clarks, and all the others in my closet. I am so comfortable now...I am being completely honest...that I am not wearing the inserts, or the brace. I am pretty much pain free and don't even take the Ibuprofen three times a day anymore - which baffles me because I am only 5 feet tall and WAY overweight (working on that too) The Croc Specialist and Professional are so comfortable to walk in I wear them off duty. For the hour I am on the treadmill everyday, I wear the ortho inserts in Nike Air Running Shoes. I need the support for that one hour of continuous movement. Oh...I even have a pair of Crocs wedge heel dress sandals that I wore to a wedding in California! Fashion and comfort is a beautiful thing. AND...if I win the $50 I am going to spend it here on Lydia's web site buying new and smaller scrubs. Thank you Lydia's for making a short, plump, round, flat footed nurse feel and look pretty.

I absolutely love my Nike air monarch sneakers. They are cushioned from heel to toe and feel great. I have arthritis in my toes and they are the only pair of shoes I have found that keep my feet from hurting during a 12 hour shift. They are actually men's shoes, but they feel so great that I can't imagine ever owning anything different.

Great buy!!

I absolutely love the Dansko Marcelle Clog...wearing those makes me feel like I'm walking on air! They're a bit more stylish than the traditional clog, which I love!
Monday, March 30, 2009 by Laura Santelli, RN :
I LOVE Dansko's! Any Kind. They are comfortable enough to wear all day at work and very stylish, so your feet don't feel left out. Since they don't look like regular hospital shoes, I wear mine all time! They are cute and comfortable.

I Love Dansko's. Not only are they comfortable and durable, they have great colors! I can always spice up my boring scrubs with a fun pair of Dansko's!!

I am a big fan of my Nurse Mate shoes. I can just slip them on and they are easy to keep clean. Plus they are very affordable!

I absolutely couldn't do my job without my Danskos and New Balance Tennis Shoe. I work in a busy Urgent Care and demand shoes that are practical, durable, and comfortable. I've worn many shoes and went home with many aches at the end of my days but not with Dansko and New Balance. I can work a 12 hour shift and still feel ready to run at the end of the day. These shoes are both stylish and worth every last cent. They both come in several styles and colors so I can look stylish and feel great too!

I love Dansko. I've tried different shoes in the past and the comfort I get from Danskos is not comparable with any brand. I bought another pair after my first and never considered any more brand.

I swear by Dansko's! I discovered them recently when my Croc's just weren't cutting it anymore. I actually happened across a great deal online that I couldn't pass up and I purchased my first pair. I will never go back! I finally can make it through a whole 12 hour shift on my feet and my legs don't hurt after! It's quite a wonderful concept. Plus, I looked at a Dansko catalog recently and they have endless possibilities... lots of really cute styles and many colors. You can't go wrong! They have such good support, my feet love me now! Even my sister who is a school teacher says they are the best things she has discovered to help her through a day on her feet. I love Dansko's and hope soon to own another great pair. They are 100% worth the investment.

Merrell encore moc pros are the best. I work 12 hours shifts which of course turn into 13 or 14 hours shifts and MY FEET NEVER HURT! I think everyone should try them, you won't be dissappointed. Best to you all.

I appreciate that you have larger sizes and short sleeve jackets I get way to hot at work to wear long sleeves. I would like a few more color choices as well as more choices for petite plus size women
