One of the topics that frequently comes up in our Customer Service Department is drop ship items. So here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions on the topic.
Why do some items ship separately? What does drop ship mean? Drop ship items are shipped to you directly from the manufacturer. They are not shipped from the Lydia's Warehouse. By offering drop ship items we are able to offer a much larger selection of discount uniforms, men's nursing uniforms and women's scrubs. How can I tell if it is a drop ship item? Once you add the item to your cart, this message will appear: This item will ship from the manufacturer and may take additional days for delivery.

We recently started using these cute new bags to ship our medical scrubs. Leesa, our E-Commerce Director came up with this design and we all love how they're so fun and colorful. I can't imagine who wouldn't want to get one of these in the mail, especially when it's filled with new nursing uniforms or designer scrubs.

At the first sign of spring I pull out my warm-weather clothing and start packing away the winter sweaters; that’s what happened last night when I saw the weather forecast. After hearing that it was going to be 60 degrees today I immediately got excited and decided to wear a dress to work. Since I don’t wear dresses very often, it got me thinking, how many of our customers wear dresses as part of their uniforms on a regular basis?
I found a few on our site that I know I would like to wear if I had the right job for it- here are my top choices:

I wanted to take the time this week to introduce you to our new staff at Lydia’s. They have been working hard the last couple of weeks training with our Call Center Supervisor Scott. He has helped them learn all of our products (everything from discount uniforms to designer medical scrubs) and how to give all of YOU the best service possible!
The last couple of days they were able to get out of the classroom and sit with experienced representatives to take calls. They have been doing such a fantastic Job! I love our collection of Disney scrubs and nursing shoes- we have everything from Tinkerbell to Pooh to Minnie and Mickey. They're such a fun addition to any medical uniform- even if you don't work with children.
A few days ago I posted a link to the Birki Maria Clog on our Facebook page and a customer commented about how she couldn't wait to wear the Winnie the Pooh clogs with a Winnie the Pooh print top. I liked her idea so much that I found three tops and three pairs of shoes that go great together and would create fun, stylish looks. Here's what I found:

Today Melissa spoke with a customer via live chat who was ordering for her office for the first time. Her question was: Are there any special discounts or group pricing available for larger orders?
Here’s Melissa’s answer: Discounts begin on orders of $500 or more. If you would like a discount quote, you may simply place a note in the comments section during checkout and it will be passed on to a Group Sales team member to process a quote and contact you with the amount.
We just marked down the entire collection of Stretch Sateen Dickies Scrubs by 15%. With all of the snow that has been falling across our country it’s hard to imagine that winter is ever going to end. To my surprise, the first sign of Spring was dropped off at my desk yesterday morning. Our Spring Catalog was delivered to me for a sneak peak. At that point I HAD to drop what I was doing and flip through to see the newest nursing scrubs in our catalog! While reviewing the catalog cover I saw a picture of our Web Customer Service Supervisor. She was a model for our Spring Catalog photo shoot. I was lucky enough to stop by and ask her a few questions about her experience and what her favorite brands and styles were for Spring.
What was it like being a part of a photo shoot? Give us all the details!
It is a lot of fun! I am fascinated by all the “behind the scenes” tasks that it takes to make our catalog. Sheila and Rochel run the photo shoots and do an amazing job! They have such fun personalities, most of the time I forget I’m actually working, and they both have a knack for creating and taking great shots.
What was your favorite uniform to wear for the photo Shoot?
I love the Kermit print, especially since I love to collect frogs! Next to that my favorite was the Dickies I Heart You Contrast Wrap Scrub Top. Blue is one of my favorite colors and it's perfect for Valentine’s Day… I am a sucker for fun holiday prints.
What brands do you recommend to customers from our newest spring catalog?
I adore the Flex-i-bles! The dark side panels are super flattering and the pants are so comfortable. I also love all of the Koi pants. The styles are very cute, I might have to purchase a pair!
