Top 10 Resolutions for Becoming a Better Nurse in 2010

January 6, 2010 – The new year has been ushered in, bringing with it the annual desire to improve our health and well-being, accomplish a goal or check items off our bucket list (or "things-to-do-before-we-die" list). While most resolutions are personal in nature, let’s not forget to include professional improvement in the mix. How about starting 2010 with resolutions to work toward becoming a better nurse?
NurseConnect’s "Top 10" list of resolutions has been compiled with input from three accomplished nurses who advise other nurses on their careers and work/life balance. They are Julie Fuimano, RN, MBA, CSAC, owner and CEO of Nurturing Your Success, a personal development firm, and author of The Journey Called You; E. Mary Johnson, RN, BSN, NE-BC, the career coach for nurses at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio; and Patrice Rancour, RN, MS, CS, a mental health clinical nurse specialist and author of Tales from the Pager Chronicles.
